Things keep getting better for Volkswagen. Though it has been only 18 months since the automaker admitted it had been involved in a decade-long diesel emissions scam and though sales had slackened in 2016, the automaker has rebounded as the scandal has ended. Now, it is on track potentially to two major automotive awards.
The 2012 Volkswagen Jetta TDI was one of the vehicles that felt the impact of Dieselgate. Der Spiegel, in a report, indicates it may have the "smoking memo" outlining the executive in charge.

Where Did The Dieselgate Affair Have Its Foundations?

A report just out in the news points the finger of blame at the current chief executive at Audi as the prime mover in the Dieselgate scandal. According to an article in the German magazine Der Stern, they have obtained a "smoking presentation" that raises questions and points out someone who may be a chief architect of the scandal.
