Topless Pagani Huayra already sold out?

by Ronan Glon

The Roadster will make its public debut in Pebble Beach.

The topless version of the Pagani Huayra is right around the corner.

A recent report the convertible was shown to a small, hand-selected group of customers and collectors during a private ceremony held in Italy. Attendees weren't allowed to take pictures and Pagani is keeping its lips tightly sealed, so we still don't know what the long-awaited model looks like. However, earlier reports indicate the Roadster will ditch the coupe's gullwing doors.

Pagani isn't expected to make any major mechanical modifications. That means the Roadster will use a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine borrowed from the Mercedes-AMG parts bin and tuned to pump out about 730 horsepower. It will hit 60 mph from a stop in a little over three seconds, and go on to a top speed of nearly 230 mph.

The Huayra Roadster is scheduled to greet the public for the first time next month during the annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, so we'll hear more about the company's next convertible in the coming weeks.

Roadster production will be limited to just 100 examples, and each one is expected to cost approximately €1.5 million (roughly $1.6 million) before options are factored in. Want one? You'll likely have to shop used, because it the entire production run has already been spoken for.
