Port fire in Italy torches hundreds of Maseratis [Video]
Large waves may have caused an electrical short that ignited the inferno.
A fire at the Italian port of Savona has reportedly torched around 1,000 vehicles.
The blaze may have been started by an electrical short as seven-meter waves crashed onto the parking lot where the vehicles were awaiting export, according to Savona News.
The bad weather apparently hampered initial efforts to put out the inferno.
Among the thousand destroyed vehicles, hundreds were Maserati cars ready to be shipped abroad.
