Lotus celebrates 50 years with Evora 400 Hethel Editionby Justin King
The special edition features unique colors and badging.
Lotus has revealed the Evora 400 Hethel Edition, a special package celebrating 50 years since founder Colin Chapman moved the company to its current Hethel headquarters.
The commemorative build is available in three exclusive body colors: Essex Blue, Motorsport Black and Racing Green. The hues are said to reflect the company's iconic color schemes from years past.
All choices feature lightweight forged aluminum wheels and contrasting brake calipers. Interiors are clad in Alcantara, red leather or black leather trim, depending on the particular paint choice.
Aside from aesthetics, the Hethel Edition remains unchanged from the basic Evora 400. As the name indicates, it boasts 400 horsepower from a 3.5-liter supercharged V6. With a curb weight of just 3,074 pounds, the car can launch to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and eventually hit 186 mph.
"We're looking forward to celebrating our connections to Norfolk throughout 2016, and more Lotus Hethel Anniversary news will be announced soon," said Lotus chief Jean-Marc Gales.
The company has only announced pricing for European markets, suggesting the Hethel Edition is not heading to US showrooms.
