Lexus LC F under developmentby Ben Hsu
A performance version of the luxury GT is undergoing testing in Germany.
Lexus seems to be working on an high-performance version of its LC grand touring coupe. Unofficially dubbed the LC F, a lightly camouflaged prototype was recently seen undergoing testing in Germany.
In spy shots published by , the LC F shows significant changes to distinguish itself from is LC 500 and LC 500h siblings. Most notably, the front fenders have been widened, perhaps to accommodate larger wheels. Cross-drilled brake rotors larger calipers can be seen on the prototype as well.
Changes to the front fascia include larger air intakes, behind which a pair of heat exchangers lurk. Interestingly, the one on the left is takes up almost the entire opening, while the right is about a third of that size. Out back, a new diffuser is flanked by two pairs of stacked exhaust tips.
Horsepower would have to be substantially more than the 467 ponies found in the 5.0-liter V8 of the LC 500, RC F and GS F. Of course, hybridization could also be an option.
