Lamborghini previews 2020 Huracan Evo

by Ronan Glon

The Huracan gets design and powertrain tweaks.

Lamborghini has released the first official image of the updated Huracan, its smallest and most affordable super-sports car. Called Evo, the model features styling updates on both ends, and subtle powertrain tweaks.

British magazine published the photo. It confirms the Huracan Evo receives a new-look rear end inspired by the track-ready released in 2017. The exhaust tips move further up on the rear fascia to clear up space for a diffuser that stretches nearly the entire width of the car. We also see a redesigned rear spoiler.

We haven't seen the inside of the Huracan Evo yet. We don't expect dramatic updates, but Lamborghini could pack new tech features (like an updated infotainment system) into the car.

The Huracan Evo carries on with a naturally-aspirated, 5.2-liter V10 engine. It's expected to get a 10-horsepower bump, bringing its total output to 620 horsepower. The coupe model will hit 62 mph from a stop in three seconds flat. Additional specifications will be released when the model makes its full debut.

Lamborghini hasn't revealed when it will show the 2020 Huracan Evo. The firm won't be at next week's Detroit auto show, so odds are the model will make its debut online. It could break cover in March at the Geneva auto show. Either way, the updated Huracan will begin arriving in showrooms for the 2020 model year.
