Detroit LIVE: 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT N Lineby Ben Hsu
The N Line slots above the base model, replacing the Elantra GT Sport.
Hyundai has unveiled the 2019 Elantra GT N Line, serving as a replacement for the outgoing GT Sport trim.
The company's N Line package bridges the gap between base models and the range-topping N cars, adding a few sporty styling touches and modest powertrain and chassis upgrades.
The Elantra GT N Line borrows a few design elements from the i30 N, with a lower front spoiler and unique rear bumper fascia. The performance aesthetic is further reinforced by special 18-inch wheels, clad in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires when purchased with a manual gearbox.
Handling benefits from stiffened components including the engine and transmission mounts, rollrod mount, stability bar and springs. The shocks and steering have also been recalibrated.
Inside, the N Line boasts leather sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, red contrast stitching, and a sportier instrument cluster.
The Elantra GT N Line is available now with a $24,185 starting price.
