BMW teases camouflaged 2 Series Gran Coupe
The model will be formally unveiled in November.
BMW has released a photo gallery previewing the upcoming 2 Series Gran Coupe.
The sedan is shrouded in multi-colored camouflage wrap, leaving the details obscured but highlighting its sleek coupe-like profile. The wrap includes QR codes that direct to a teaser website.
BMW says it has already enjoyed "great success" selling four-door coupe variants of its higher vehicle classes. The company is moving the idea downmarket as the 2 Series Gran Coupe enters its final testing phase ahead of production.
The front-wheel-drive sedan will borrow its ARB wheel-slip limiter from the i3s, moving the slip controller from the stability-control system to the engine control unit to reduce latency.
The flagship M235i xDrive edition will feature BMW's all-wheel-drive tech and the company's most powerful four-cylinder engine, delivering 306 horsepower via a Torsen limited-slip differential.
The compact Gran Coupe will make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
