Bentley has published a full set of details about the Mulsanne 95, a limited-edition model designed to commemorate the company's 95th birthday.
The Mulsanne's interior has been lavishly upgraded with wood trim sourced from a 400-year old oak tree that fell down after a storm hit England's Lincolnshire county in 2007. The 95's cabin also features a British-themed combination of blue and white leather with contrasting red stitching, a "95" emblem on the seats and illuminated door sills that proudly display the words "ninety-five."
The exterior updates are discreet and largely limited to dark tint on the Flying B hood ornament and on the five-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels. Buyers can choose from Britannia Blue, Empire Red and Oxford White, three British-inspired paint colors developed specifically for the limited-edition model.
Mechanically, the Mulsanne is equipped with a 6.75-liter V8 engine that sends 505 horsepower and 752 lb-ft. of torque to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The prodigious amount of torque helps the 5,984-pound behemoth sprint from zero to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, on par with an . Massive brakes on all four corners bring the sedan to a stop.
Bentley on building just 15 examples of the Mulsanne 95, and all of them have been earmarked for the United Kingdom. The car is currently on sale but pricing information has not been made public.
