Could the Speed-badged model get a coupe-like roof line?
Bentley has confirmed plans to build a range-topping variant of the W12-powered Bentayga, according to a recent report. The model will receive the coveted Speed nameplate.
We've heard rumors of a Bentayga Speed since the model made its official debut at the 2015 Frankfurt auto show. They were true; design boss Stefan Sielaff confirmed the model's arrival in an interview with British magazine .
Sielaff stopped short of confirming technical details. We know the Speed will retain the Bentayga's twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine. It makes 600 horsepower in its standard configuration, an output that allows the SUV to reach 60 mph from a stop in about four seconds flat and keep going until it reaches 187 mph.
Expect the Speed to post a zero-to-60-mph time of under four seconds. Rumors peg its top speed in the vicinity of 200 mph.
