Paris LIVE: Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon Editionby Ronan Glon
Buyers can choose between the Carbon White and the Carbon Black package.
Aston Martin has published full details about an appearance package called Carbon that is available on the Vanquish and the Vanquish Volante. The first Vanquish Carbon was presented at the Paris Motor Show.
Buyers can choose between the eye-catching Carbon White package and the low-key Carbon Black package (pictured). Both bring edition-specific carbon fiber trim on the mirror caps, the front and rear bumpers, the door handles and the fender vents as well as 10-spoke alloy wheels finished in gloss black.
The composite treatment continues inside thanks to a center console crafted out of Herringbone carbon fiber, sill plates made out of machined carbon fiber and carbon shift paddles. Other enhancements include black speaker grilles and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. Red, yellow or silver accent stitching is available on the dashboard, the steering wheel, the seats and the door panels.
Aston Martin has not made any changes under the hood, meaning power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine that makes 567 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. of torque. Linked to a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, the 12-cylinder engine sends the Vanquish from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 201 mph.
The Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon is on sale now in the United Kingdom. Aston has not announced if the limited-edition model will be offered on these shoes.
Aston Martin has already introduced Carbon variants of the DBS, the DB9 and the DB9 Volante. While the DB9 Carbon was only offered in black and white, the DBS Carbon could be purchased in Flame Orange, Ceramic Gray and Carbon Black when it went on sale in late 2011.
