Acura TLX gets price bump for 2017by Justin King
The base price has increased by $200, despite lackluster sales so far this year.
Acura has announced pricing details for its 2017 TLX lineup, due to arrive in showrooms.
The company has raised the base price by more than $200 to $32,820 (including $920 freight). The entry-level model continues to be powered by a 2.4-liter engine with 206 horsepower and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The 3.5-liter edition, which boasts 290 ponies and a nine-speed gearbox, now starts at $36,270. SH-AWD variants fetch at least $42,520, topping out at $45,720 when equipped with Acura's Advance Package.
The 2017 lineup adds three new exterior colors: San Marino Red, Lunar Silver Metallic and Modern Steel Metallic. Buyers can also choose a new Ebony Black interior with either the San Marino Red or Fathom Blue Pearl exterior hues.
The price hike has been implemented despite lackluster sales for the TLX in the US market. Deliveries are down by nearly 15 percent in the first half, collapsing by 30 percent in June.
